C+K SPONSOR: HONEYBEE COLLECTION

It had been a while since I shopped the always glamorous selection of jewelry at Honeybee Collection, but when I popped over to their online shop the other day I was instantly reminded of how amazing their pieces are - and how I need to be visiting more often!
    honeybee collection jewelry
I want every single one of these in my jewelry collection, stat!

What I love about their selection is that many of these beautiful pieces are the kind you can wear everyday. While some are definitely a little more special occasion (like those gorgeous earrings!) there are quite a few (like the bangles, ring stack and necklace) that you can throw on to top off almost any outfit, and to me that makes them even more worth the investment!

And, for the next two weeks, if you order any piece over $400 (not hard to find!) you'll receive a free pair of bon bon earrings (retail value is $105) with the code bonbon! Just another reason to start shopping (or start hinting at a gift?).

Which item will you be adding to your wishlist?

A LITTLE FAB ON THE SIDE

I've been hunting for an original little table to sit next to my settee in the 'office' area of the apartment. I thought I had seen every possible option, until this piece of amazingness landed in my inbox:
    Quinn Agate Table
Hello lover. Some girls like shoes. I like martini tables. That mix of glamour with a raw organic edge to it is complete perfection. Plus, can you imagine all the amazing colors of agate that could be used for this? It's blowing my mind.

BLACK + WHITE BOUDOIR

If yesterday's post on Delfina's pied-à-terre didn't hint that this was coming, well, then someone wasn't paying attention...
coco+kelley bedroom inspiration black white glam
*ahem*. My current bedroom inspiration. White, black and gold. I am in love. The fabric will either be used for drapes or upholstering a chair I currently own that needs a little facelift. I want the shapes and a few acent pieces to hint at a Moroccan influence without going too over the top. I may, however, need to purchase a small authentic Moroccan wedding blanket or rug to balance all the 'new' and keep things from getting overly Hollywood Regency. And for the record - that dresser? It's a changing table. If you can point me in the direction of a dresser that looks exactly like this, I'll take it, but I'm currently fantasizing about those deep drawers...

TIMELESS GLAM: BLACK + WHITE + GOLD

The second I saw the tour of jewelry designer Delfina Delettrez's Parisian palazzo in Harper's last month, I fell in love with the chic simplicity of her style...
    delfina3
After moving into my new apartment with all-white walls, I'm tempted to follow suit, but I don't think I could manage this much color minimalism for the whole place.
    delfina1
So, I'm tempted to just do the bedroom in black, white, and metallics. With an underlying Moroccan theme to it, but nothing too obvious. One area in which I will definitely be mimicking her style, however, is the attention to beautiful detail.
    delfina2
Like that cute little gold cactus and perfectly quirky floating shelf. Not to mention as many vintage and antique pieces as I can afford. They always add so much more personality.

What do you think? Are you ready to move in? Me too.

NAILED IT

I'm totally infatuated with this subtle hit of glamour. Little piece, big impact. The kind of accessory that doesn't shout at you ... but when you notice it? Woah.

Nope, I'm not talking about the pile of bracelets (*yawn*). I'm definitely referring to that fabulous gold fingernail ring. Totally unique.

You can get your own right here.

RASPBERRY DREAMS

Could we all just pause for a moment in this hectic day to worship at this altar of raspberry trimmed with gold?
    milesredd via thelovelist
When I was in Las Vegas for market, I attended a panel that Tobi Fairely was speaking on. She mentioned that the best way to infuse color into a home is to do a monochromatic palette because it reads more as a neutral when you layer the same color (maybe different hues) on top of each other. I think this rule applies to this Miles Redd interior perfectly. Is it completely over the top? Sure. But the fact that it's all one shade makes it a little easier to digest.

But, let's be honest. All I really want are those walls.

GOLD ON THE SIDE

Loving both selections of bedside lighting in these rooms...

They each have that contrast of natural wood and gold - a combo I'll simply never get enough of.

Putting them into the inspiration file for my new apartment... which I am off to sign the lease on right now!! I can't wait to share it with you all!

EVERY ROSE...

I'm not saying I'm cynical or anything... But, really, could there be a better gift of love than a golden cuff of thorns?

Plus, it's really just stunning. (PS - It also comes in a ring... I'm just sayin'.)

MORE BANG(LES) FOR YOUR BUCK

I've already confessed to you all my maxi-dress addiction for warm weather days, but I've got another little habit that goes along with it...
    4118518788_e937572265_o
Bangles!! I love one or two on their own, or layered like crazy. And since I'm such a mix and matcher, I thought I'd pull together a few of my current faves that feature a great mesh of natural materials, shining gold, lucite and punches of black... and most of them won't break the bank!
    bangles
Which styles would you go for? (Yes, 'all of them' is a perfectly acceptable answer.)

*clockwise from top left: my favorite set from malene berger, a graphic mix of materials at h&m, a geometric stunner from marc jacobs, a fab little set from h&m, a perfect mix of metal and wood at f21, resin tipped wood at nordstrom, a set of plastic fantastic from topshop

INTERIORS TO INSPIRE: GOLDEN GLORY

Hello friends, and happy new year! Julie here from Chapman Interiors bringing you an Interiors to Inspire home tour that is sure to tickle your fancy. This project by Nate Berkus in Chicago immediately caught my eye with the extensive use of caramel throughout. (Because lawd knows, I use this color in nearly all my projects.)

The chairs are the show stopper in this modern-meets-traditional dining room. But, the silhouette of the dining table, sparkly chandelier and moody art all make the space truly outstanding. Modern and traditional are well at work here.

The sitting room is comfortable with it's golden silk rug and sumptuous fur throw. Cool and warm tones are balanced perfectly, making the room neither masculine or feminine; it's timeless in every way.

In the cozy den, the walls are glowing with gold. A leggy coffee table, tufted arm chair and zebra rug keep the room dynamic (oh, and that adorable sequin pillow adds a punch of whimsy!). I imagine this room feels warm even on the most grey winter day - something to keep in mind for those of us in the chilly climates!

Here's what we come up with to translate Nate's look for our own space...

The trick to mixing modern and traditional is to keep the color palette strict. For this project, use plenty of golds and warm metals, keep the walls a light neutral (a cool-based gray would work wonderfully) and don't forget to add a few modern (very straight-lined) pieces. Before you know it you'll be the queen of mixing styles!

    Ta-ta for now,

    xoxo
