If you've been following along this week, you know that I've been sharing my adventures with my girlfriend Traci Schlosser who happens to be a very fabulous personal stylist here in Seattle (and available for hire!). Well, we've reached our last destination in this little project of getting me all dressed up for Fashion Week in NYC, and it just happens to be my very favorite boutique in Seattle, Les Amis.
I adore the atmosphere of this store - it's incredibly cozy and perfectly procured with many of my favorite labels. But, the best part are the people who work there - super sweet and helpful! The girls instantly picked up on my style and helped pick out a few things for me to try on while offering us champagne to sip on at the end of our long day.
Every single one of us tried on this fabulous cape - I was wishing I had been shopping for a cooler climate! How cute is it on Traci?
I'm not exaggerating when I say I could have purchased a whole new wardrobe that day - everything was fitting perfectly - but this leather skirt and blouse were the real winners of the day! The instant I put this skirt on by Graham & Spencer I felt confident. And when you feel that, ladies, you know you have to purchase! (See that look on my face? That's my yep, I need this face.)
I also tried it on with a very ladylike blouse that came in a close second until I remembered...
I already had one very similar at home! We ended the day at my apartment pulling all the final looks together, and this top worked perfectly with its contrast of ruffle detail against the leather skirt.
I was SO thankful to have Traci to shop with me for such a big week. Fashion can be exhausting, intimidating, and frustrating, and it helps so much to have that second opinion help us see things in a new way, take risks, and elevate our aesthetic... not to mention convince us that an investment piece like a flattering leather skirt is very worth it.
I'm also grateful to our fabulous photographer, Samantha Kelly who did a fantastic job with my very last-minute request for her to follow us around for the day!
I have to admit, I've been a little nervous to share so many photos of myself here on the blog, but it's been a fun experience and I like being able to show you what my real wardrobe consists of - not just my dream one! Are you enjoying it? Because I'm thinking I should keep Traci's expertise around here a little longer...
