Traditionally, it's the busiest shopping day of the year here in the states. Black Friday. For those of you brave (or crazy?) enough to fight the crowds, I admire your ambition. For me? I'd rather stay at home and shop...

Last weekend I found myself at a BBQ where the kids may have outnumbered the adults. I have no idea when my life took that turn, but I have to say that the best part of having friends with children is shopping for them! HAPPY WEEKEND (AND SOME LINK LOVE!)

I can hardly believe it's mid-August this weekend. With all my travel I haven't really been able to appreciate summer at home yet...

I want to throw on a summer hat and doll myself up for weekends in the city... if only the sunshine would cooperate! I'm ready for some hot summer nights!

But in the meantime, I'll be working on finishing up my move (I'll have a house tour of the place on Monday!) and doing a ton of online shopping for all the pieces I need.

CUTTIN' A RUG!

As someone who has recently become obsessed with tracking down the perfect rug for my new apartment, I'm really wishing that the new apartment was in LA because Decorative Carpets is having a huge sale on tons of different styles and I for one could really use a rug or two!

The Designer Preview starts tomorrow at 10am, and you just know there's going to be some hidden gems (like the pink patchwork piece above!) Not to mention they've teamed up with JJ Custom so some fabulous furniture finds are bound to happen too!

The sale is located at 9000 Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. I've always enjoyed Annette Tatum's skill for turning inspiration into product, and I'm so thrilled to have her as a sponsor here on coco+kelley! Even more exciting, though, is the launch of her online shop that continues to expand from bedding for the little ones all the way up to grownups, and lovely home decor accents.
